BATTLE THROUGH THE URGE TO QUIT

Have you ever felt like giving up? You start feeling emotions like despair, discouragement and the urge to quit. Maybe it's a project you're working on, a goal you've set for yourself, a nutrition plan that you've started or maybe it's through your workouts.

Whatever the circumstance, it's time to start viewing this feeling differently. Most people quit when they start feeling a little discomfort. You must learn to push even harder. Train yourself to see it as a signal to give even more. That's how you will find victory.

How do we battle the urge to quit? Here are a few tips:

1. Self Talk: We usually rationalize to our self that's it's okay to quit. Learn to hear that voice and know it's not you. Challenge those thoughts.

2. Start becoming aware of the urges: This is more of a physical feeling. Become aware of the feelings but do not act on them.

3. Learn that the urge will pass: See it like a wave that builds up and then crashes. Know that it will most likely build up but you can get through it again. Take it one urge at a time until they subside.
