"It isn't the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it's the pebble in your shoe." - Muhammad Ali
All too often, when suffering an injury, whether it be knee issues, back issues or any other kind of physical injury, people tend to give up and act as if an injury is like a brick wall when in reality it's just a "pebble in your shoe". This pebble should never keep you from moving ahead on your climb to success. Don't quit on yourself. There are many lessons you can learn from an injury.
Whether you are able to improve in other areas of your body, your nutrition or even work on your mind there is always time to find ways towards improvement.
Here are a few things to remember if you are currently dealing with an injury:
1. Accept that the injury has occurred and move forward.
2. Find out all you can about the injury and its rehabilitation.
4. Find out if you can continue some kind of other physical activity.
5. Ask yourself what else you can do to continue to reach your goals, remember nutrition is a huge part of any physical transformation so that would be a great thing to focus on.
It may not be an injury that you're allowing to hold you back, we can all carry little pebbles in our shoe, like everyday distractions, stresses and anxiety's that can trip us up. But we need to learn to focus on the bigger picture. Focus on the climb up.
